PIERCING FAQ

  • Unfortunately we do not use jewelry outside the shop because we must always be able to verify origin, correct fit and composition of the jewelry.

  • At our suggestion, wash the piercing twice daily with a mild fragrance free alcohol free soap followed by a spritz of saline solution on the front and back of the piercing. Never twist, turn or remove jewelry. If you must handle your piercing, make sure you have thoroughly washed your hands and be as gentle as possible.

  • We offer many styles of hypoallergenic jewelry, including surgical steel, titanium, and gold, but the correct fit for a healing piercing will be a determining factor.

  • A piercing done by a professional should hurt no more than getting a shot at the doctor’s office.

  • 18 years old with ID.

  • That depends on the location of the piercing and anatomy.

  • Piercings are safe unless you have a lowered immune system due to illness, or pre-existing condition, are pregnant or inebriated.

  • If you have any pre-existing metal allergies, inform your piercer and they will assist in selecting the most appropriate jewelry.

  • We carry a full line of aftercare products and will instruct you how to use them properly. Never use alcohol, ointment, or peroxide as they will damage the skin and produce a more difficult healing period.

  • It is not unusual for a piercing to be inflamed and tender for the first week, but if anything seems unusual, we recommend having one of our piercers look at it.  We make ourselves available to help with any questions or concerns you may have during your healing process.

  • Twice daily is good unless your piercing comes into contact with something dirty. Over-washing can cause irritation and swelling.

  • Most piercings on average, take a year to heal all the way, but will feel healed in the first six to eight weeks. If at this time you feel the need to change your jewelry, please come in and let our piercers assist you.
